The love you wait for…
There’s boys around everywhere,
They state, they should,
They smile and wink
They make you shine and promise you the world;
They give you hope…
And when you let them in a little,
They think they have you all.
And then so foolishly
They show themselves completely,
Most often differently to you.
You see their truth,
Their real motives,
Their game…
So far, as you’ve discovered,
There’s only 2 possible solutions,
They either want you as their trophy
Controlling every move and thought
Or they just have no true identity themselves
And simply want you to fulfil their void.
Whichever one it is,
You sign and silently retreat;
For that is not the love you wanted
If one can even call it love.
With every boy that comes your way,
With every truth you patiently uncover
You lose a little bit of hope,
For that one man,
Who challenges the rules,
Who shows you strength you’ve never seen before.
The man you dream of every night,
The man you give your soul to without question or a hesitation,
For he has shown you the love you need;
The love that makes you question everything
The passion that unites two souls in one
That love… It really does exist.
It only took that little bit of extra time for him to find you.

Mother’s love
The bond between a mother and a daughter
Is unexplainable by words;
A mother is the only soul who stays,
No matter what you’ve done or said;
She is the constant in your chaos;
The rock that you can lean on,
The wind that wipes away your tears,
The warmth your heart needs in moments of betrayal.
She is the voice that dares you
To break your limits,
To reach higher,
To fight harder -
Even when it feels like she’s against you.
But when the world turns silent,
And your strength feels thin,
It is her arms,
Her heart,
That you’ll find waiting.
She is the truth you hide from,
The love you feel a million miles away;
She is and always will be the sun you need in times of darkness,
For she is backing every choice you make,
Forever fighting in your corner in ways you cannot see.
She is Mum.
Unshakeable.
Unconditional.
Forever yours.

I laugh, I dance, I’m lost in music
And then I fall, and yet I feel alive
A sense of freedom overcomes me
It feels incredible to me
Complete and happy
There’s nothing better…
And then it hits.
An emptiness unknown.
I am a girl with a spirit of an eagle
Yet I am chained by an unknown force,
My soul is empty,
There’s a hole somewhere,
It needs to fill and set me free
For an eagle chained is dead inside
It cannot fly and thus it cannot live.
I want my freedom,
I want to live,
To soar to heights unknown to me;
I yearn to spread my wings and let the wind direct me,
To roam the world without fear,
Without chains restricting me,
So please I beg you
Set me free…

You look into the eyes of a stranger and see yourself,
His eyes so dark they draw you in,
But there’s a wall within them
Fear…Insecurity…Who knows
You can’t get through,
Yet stubborn to give up.
His fear startles you a little,
And draws up demons you’ve hid for year.
It huts, but he doesn’t know that.
You question your own strength and worth,
But why?
He’s just a stranger,
He should not have the power,
He doesn’t know you
And doesn’t owe you anything.
You cannot force the walls to fall,
You cannot force an explanation,
You shouldn’t have to.
That feeling of familiarity within his eyes,
Perhaps you were mistaken…
You are only strangers…nothing to each other,
No friends, not even close.
You cannot heal he pain within another
Until that person asks you to,
And so for now, regain your power
And shine like you once did.
If you are meant to be together,
Then it will happen,
But not until
He’s ready to be healed.
